How to add some “chic” to a casual outfit – What to wear
Casual chic is in between casual & formal in terms of dress code. In this video, I put together a casual outfit & then I show you how to accessorize it, how to play with colors & why materials and texture are important.

Oooh Palazzo Pants… 🤤
your lipstick color fits your hair style, chic 🙂
You’ve got your eyebrows right. And your shade of lipstick. Can you tell us which brand it is?
These tips are wonderful for those of us who are postpartum and not wanting to live in pjs/sweats/athleisure! I recently had my third baby and gained more weight this round so its been challenging to find stuff in my wardrobe that makes me feel good. My second son has made a point of picking out earrings for me ☺️
b!😁
Justine, you are so lovely. I adore your videos. I agree 100% that minimalism is more chic! I also agree that texture is so often an after thought, or not at all. Love these videos. Thank you for sharing yourself with us!!❤
Hi 😘 Do you find these tips on “casual chic” helpful? Would you like me to do another video for any other style? Any other video topic you would like to see?
Dear Justine. I just love your videos. I am an old hippy stuck in my style, how can i update? keep smiling. You have such a pretty smile.
Very helpful as always. Merci!
Such an important distinction between statement-making about the moment, like at fashion weeks, and chic. I love ppl watching at fash week, but I also loved getting back to Montparnasse and St Germain, and seeing all the elan of the classic minimalists with their effortless undone Parisienne points. I learned so much watching them, I am forever grateful. Merci Beaucoup for this awesome vid, two years later!
Can you please make more videos like this? I loved seeing the outfit styled with visuals. Very helpful. Thanks!
I like your top. You are formidable. You have a point with our beloved jeans. Apart from culottes, I love everything you feature, plus your colour schemes. You’ve got the fomular for stepping out in style.
Thank you for this informative video. I learn so much from your videos! <3
Im currently curating my wardrobe from fast fashion, moving towards higher-quality items made of wool and cashmere ( I live in Norway, where it’s freezing cold half the year, so it’s difficult to stay stylish when you’re freezing your butt off :P)
Do you like Arket? I have a jersey-sweater of theirs, but the fit isn’t ideal, but I bought it online and was too lazy to return it.
I’m a blonde, and after several years of dying my hair ash-brown, I decided to go natural.
I have found that I look great in bright, white neutral tones and pale blue!
You are a classical.. winter? I would say? No? I think you look great in black, rich purple and pale white!
I applied the Justine way of dressing to a job interview recently and ended up getting the job. 🥰
love your bracelet in this video. The orange, white and chunky clasp are perfect. Do you carry that item on your site? thanks
Sometimes without trying too hard I put together an outfit and it works. Makes me feel very confident. Thanks for this video.
I think I could listen to you just sharing your thoughts and opinions – even on the same topics – over and over and never get tired of it. I always get something new out of your videos even if it’s the 4th time I’ve watched it!
Yes I do. Casual Chic Nice! 🙂
Completely agree with the concept of “telling my brain it’s time to focus.”
can you please do a video on travel wardrobe
finding your stile.
I like the look of the high waisted trousers trend, but I found it uncomfortable around the stomach.
Hi Justine! Love this casual chic video! Thank you for the suggestions.
Wow, you look so tan and fresh in this video. Just watched you undertones video, and here you almost look like an olive skin colour with a warm undertones…. are you a neutral in fact?
Thank you for all the cool information!
Thankyou Justine for sharing your knowledge in style etc, I am interested in learning how to dress for a 5ft 3in person, 66yrs old 😊who feels much younger on the inside… I will look at your video on determining my style…..you may laugh, that I would be unsure at such an age ? But I haven’t given up on myself and want to present ( friendly/casual, yet put together….Looking forward to learning more from you. Thankyou 💐🙏
I was watching your 2 and 3 year old videos for comfort ad motivation to take better care of my look and myself. These you have produced during the pandemic came to me tonight, and have been a higher level. Comfort, yes, but that there will be an end. It’s April 2021. I need to start caring about this again, even if other humans are incredibly scary even after both vaccine doses. Thank You. I had my first business meeting in more than a year, and I wore make up, lightly. It felt good.
I evolved over time to neutral foundation pieces with an accent. Like black shoes, pants, and a bright shirt. Or a bright scarf.
Thank you for your guidance. I lost my way with clothing after growing my dyed hair out back to grey duting the pandemic and just couldn’t see what suited me after that, but your advice has really helped me.
I have discarded half of clothes and shoes etc. Which has bee very freeing, now l can see my favorite pieces and how they can all work together. I can also see the red pieces l need to make these clothes work better, a belts, black jacket etc.
Your English is very good!
Excellent tips 😊👍
Hi justine, I was wondering if you could do wardrobe and outfits from a movie like angelina jolie’s outfits from " by the sea" or from "the tourist" or Rene Russo’s wardrobe from "the thomas crown affair"
Always good advices! Thanks Justine!
You are THE BEST! Thank you, Justine! ❤
Hm ….
How about a gorgeous silk / cashmere scarf ?
I do not really wear jewelry , especially costume chunky pieces ,
I LOVE those , but they do not look good on me.
So … I usually go neutral palette plus a burst of color on a scarf.
For someone who seeks to give some solid advice on fashion and presentation, you constantly look pretty plain and bland in all your videos. Why can’t you get a hair cut after all these years and freshen up your look? You genuinely look like a woman in her 60’s.
Do you have any tricks for ladies 5’2" or under in height? Palazzo pants would swallow me up…
I would love to learn more about all this matching – sounds like a lot of work – in home decor there is the rule of threes – if one has a red piece in an all white room one has to have it in 3 places or expressions…….are there rules or principles that guide the matching beyond the belt must always match the shoes and handbag and no doubt gloves……? Thanks love your channel Gaby

Anyone know where the red and white cuff bracelet is from please?
Lots os psycopathic satanism.
I think we should have gold tiaras be part of our available choices. As a short person, I love the idea of adding height instead of having something around my neck.
(neutral) leggins + a skirt is a good combo for me.
can flat, comfortable shoes be chic? I have a huge problem with my office pants because the only shoes I have for them are heels and I’m starting a new job (school secretary) and if I wear heels I will most definitely feel over-dressed 🙁
Casual smart (for teachers) please ❤️💗💖
I agree with you Justine, minimalist is chic! Thanks for the great videos!
Hi Justine, do you have any advice for women who are older? How can you look chic and stylish as you age?
Instead of collecting souvenirs, a few years back I starting "collecting" photos of beautiful or interesting Churches in the places I visit.
I am not a photographer but most of these pictures were taken by me. I did purchase one. Now I have a gallery wall in my home of Churches that spoke to my heart when I saw them. I love this wall! Thank you Justine, for all of your inspiration!
❤❤❤
Ahh so simple when you lay it out .. pleased to say I follow a lot of those rules already – thank you. Would you do a video on how to dress for a cocktail party, theatre etc so more on the formal side?
