  1. About 70-75% of my clothes are made by me. Sewing my own allows me total control over the quality. About half of my hand made clothes are 7+ years old and in still great condition.

I do well buying t-shirts from the men’s department at Walmart and pay between $3-10. They are either all cotton or 90% cotton. The fabric is thicker and will stand the test of time. I do redo the necklines to create a v-neck without needing an extra fabric or I turned the crew neck to a wider one. I buy men’s chinos at Walmart that is 70% cotton and are stretch. The fabric doesn’t fade like women’s chinos, has REAL pockets, better construction and tougher fabric. Plus they fit me rectangular figure the best. Its one of the house brands and costs about $20-22 now. Mine are five years old and still look very nice after weekly wear and laundering. I alternate between IT and upscale hotels for work.

Right now I’m disabled but working towards returning to work within 18 month at the latest.

Secondhand often has some real gems as well.

  2. I thought i needed the striped sweater too, but its not mine thing. I think its the horizontal stripe, because i like the vertical stripes but only on a button down shirt, for spring and summer.

  3. I just found your channel! I’m currently creating my capsule wardrobe and so far your shorts and videos have been the most helpful for me! 🥹🤍 Can’t wait for what’s to come! New sub! 🤞🏾🫶🏾

  4. H & M has some very cute timeless sweaters that are mostly recycled polyester made from all the plastic bottles 👍👍this is good for our planet to utilize waste this way I think. I hv a couple they are adorable nice quality and comfy. Its so true, just because of the name of a company does not mean all their garments are low quality or high quality. Wish it was that easy. Uniqlo white Ts are my fav. 20.00
