  1. After watching this my closest is gonna look amazing. I think a type of cropped top can be timeless athletes in the 90s wore them. Than we had long sleeve with a tie up around the chest that gives a 70 vibe and now we have tube tops. A form of short shirt will always be in

  2. I think establish what makes you feel good rather than restrict yourself to basic pieces isnt that great as well. These basics usually have specific fit that are caters to what’s trendy now. Jeans will always be timeless but right now wide leg are popular while skinny fit is out. Just a few years ago with the 80s fever mom jeans were on trend. And so on. So instead of hyper fixating on whats timeless vs trendy, find what silhouettes flatter you and make you feel good and work your way up. The foundation is important to not hate your wardrobe in the long run. Some good example of someone that has found their silhouettes and stick with it is probably anna wintour. She has specific go to fit that if you look from time to time she always look timeless. It took me a lot of time to figure out this and why i always hate crop top with high waisted pants that accentuate my narrow hips while others look amazing. Someone said that you buy the clothes but not the body and that is something that often overlook by people, including me.

  3. I always think twice before buying an item; I think of what I can wear with it and I think of if I’m going to want to wear them for at least a few years, and I’m happy to see that most of my wardrobe was mentioned here! Timeless fashion is also more sustainable, which is why I opt for it, but I also like to accessorize with little finds, a lot of my clothes are hand-downs and thrifted, which is funny considering it’s mostly timeless?

  4. Am I the only who thinks that flanels should also be added to the list. Cuz I see people wearing them regardless of what time period, like it could be 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, etc. Like it doesn’t matter what’s trending at the moment I still see people wearing BOTH online and in real life. Like it’s very timeless for a casual fit cuz of (just like what u said in the video) their plaid or tartan patterns that are considered timeless

  5. What I’ve relized is to focus on practicality and longevity when looking for items to put into my wardrobe. I can appreciate a trend without joining in on it and I’d rather wear stuff I would be happy to pass down to my children over a cute instagram post that’ll get a few hundred likes and never be thought about again

  6. So basically….basics are timeless because foundation will always be foundation. Anything added on will be trendy.

  7. i feel like gothic fashion in general considered timeless especially a victorian/vampire gothic is definitely timeless literally based off 1800’s fashion.

  8. I think leg warmers are timeless, they were worn in the 1800s, here in the uk kids wear them with school uniform, they were popular in the 80s and have had a massive rise since 2020… I think they’ve earned their spot as a basic. Everyone needs a good pair of comfy white leg warmers

  9. leg warmers are timeless to me because of practicality, as they are very good to wear for fitness/exercise type things for example ballet, providing warmth to your joints to limit injury whilst still being cute and simple, a classic white or black leg warmer can never go wrong in my opinion and can match so many “styles” 🙂

  10. Currently trying to build a timeless wardrobe that still fits my style, so this video came out at the perfect moment ☺

  11. I don’t find the corset tops to be timeless, at least the ones that we see everywhere right now. They’re uncomfortable, do not look very put together, and do not seem like they will be around in a couple years.

  12. Jesus Christ is coming back sooner than you might expect, be ready and prepare to go with Him!

    Salvation prayer:
Father I pray with my heart and believe in You Jesus Christ. I believe you died for me. I acknowledge that i’m a sinner, please forgive my sins. Wash me with Your precious blood.
Come into my heart, save my soul today. Be my LORD and personal Saviour. I accept you today. In Jesus’ name.
    Amen.

Meditate on His Word (The Bible) to overcome challenges of this world until He comes! Jesus loves you! I don’t know you but remember that God is with you!
Romans 6:23> For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. 💕🫶🏾

  13. I love your example of how some items can be timeless depending on where you live. As a Brazilian who loves football, football jerseys have always been part of my aesthetic — and many Brazilians relate to this. And of course I love it that they have become trendy 😂

  14. I came to the comments after that crochet comment. Glad to see other people picked it out too. Machines aren’t capable of creating crochet items like knit things, so you can’t buy true crochet clothing in stores. I agree about the trendiness of that specific style of colorful, fake-crochet sweaters with loose stiches, but crochet as a whole, I don’t think, can be trendy. That’s like saying knit sweaters are trendy. Crochet pieces can be trendy depending on the pattern/colors you choose or the pattern of the piece, but crochet by itself is timeless.

  15. i just want to startoff by saying no hate i really enjoy your videos i just wanted to let you know<3 you mentioned crochet being trendy but as a person that crochets it’s honestly just like knitting which is ofc timeless. again, it just really depends on every piece individually. the sweater you showed in the video specifically (which is actually knit btw but it’s easy to confuse the two if you don’t knit/crochet) is considered trendy because of the loose stitches and neckline. crocheting itself is a hobby just like knitting, embroidery, sewing, painting, you get my point lol. what i’m trying to say is that crochet items aren’t actually timeless just specific crocheted pieces. anywayy sorry if this came off as hate it’s really not meant to be and i really like your videos <3

  16. In Argentina we love football, but the soccer t-shirt and sporty style is linked to a tacky taste. however sporty outfits are trendy right now

  17. i agree with most of these! i especially love how you pointed out the trendiness by regions and irl vs online. however, I’ve been noticing that a lot of things that are considered timeless in general are just minimalist and keeping up with the elegant city lady aesthetic, which as a maximalist I find kind of boring. i know that maximalist style is more personal and doesn’t rely on either trendy or timeless pieces, but I would love to hear your thoughts on some more extreme/out there pieces that you think are timeless!

  18. how can workwear be timeless, but cargo pants be trendy? cargos came from the army in the 1940’s, nothing more practical than that.

  19. omg I love this video!! Your channel in general is so cool, you make content that keeps me interested the whole way through, i love this!! You’re so pretty btw 😭💗

  20. I think establish what makes you feel good rather than restrict yourself to basic pieces isnt that great as well. These basics usually have specific fit that are caters to what’s trendy now. 21. I’ve always cared more about my own personal fashion and style versus what’s trending, I won’t ignore current fashion cycles but I’m never afraid to wear something ‘out of style’ because I likewhat I like! Plus, it *always* comes back.

  22. I love people in the comments saying that a given thing is timeless not trendy, cause I feel like the video talks about general rules but our personal styles can make everything different

  23. I would have to disagree with bodycon being trendy. Bodycon dresses came out in the 80s and it’s still relevant today as a piece to go out in, casually, or workwear. What can make it trendy are the material, cuts, colors, and/or patterns

  24. Love this video! I try to just follow what works for me. High rise jeans have never worked on my body type, I’ve always been a low-rise type (not Britney Spears level) so I’m happy they’re more accessible again. If it’s in fashion, great – it’s more easily accessible but if not, it’s no big deal because I can use secondhand sites.
I’m from the UK and everyone’s uncle or dad owns a pair of sambas. I think they’ll be dropped by younger people soon but the older ‘football lads’ will keep wearing them. Very interesting

  25. The only one I disagree with is the checkered pattern. Its come and gone as a trend since the 50s. So, I’d say its timeless because of that. I think depends on how its styled, too. Like when it was paired with the red roses and blue butterflies was definitely a trend. The checkered Vans are definitely timeless. Theyre the most popular shoe from Vans, which goes back to the 1960s.

  26. VERY good video!! Thank you very much for saying that skinny jeans are timeless! I wear them almost every day since i was about 8yo (now im 18). I sometimes feel ashamed bc of it around people dressed trendy but now more people can see those jeans as something that will always look good, no mather what is trending at the moment ❤
